Greetings!

 

I'm Dr. Christy Gazanian Cooper, Ed.D bringing over 13 years of teaching, coaching, and educational leadership experience to Paperless Pedagogy. Through extensive time spent as a high school English teacher to the full range of students, and as a program lead and assistant professor to teacher candidates at the university level, I've developed a deep love and excitement for making content creative and accessible to all learners.

I am expressly enthusiastic about the possibilities for individual transformation through intentionally crafted learning experiences for students and educators alike, and engage in scholarship within the area of Transformative Learning.  With a background in narrative research and a love of literature, I fervently believe that everyone has a story to tell, and when we create spaces to listen to each other both in and out of the classroom, some of the most profound learning can take place.

With appreciation for an educational journey that’s taken me from Southern California to Oxford, England to Northern California and beyond, I am eager to embark on a new adventure with a community of practice consisting of teachers, learners, and parents. Currently, I reside in Los Angeles with my husband Matt, my daughter Eliza, and our four-legged Beagle-mix Winnie. You can usually find me with a cup of Royal English Breakfast tea in hand, a stack of biographies by my bedside, and an insatiable desire for a plate of my grandma’s Armenian cheese beurek.
